Fudge Chunk Brownies

INGREDIENTS

* 185g chopped pecans / walnuts
* 80g unsweetened chocolate (dark chocolate)
* 140g butter
* a pinch of salt
* 100g all-purpose flour
* 3 eggs
* 200g brown sugar + 50g white sugar OR 250g white sugar
* 1 tsp vanilla essence
* 170g semisweet chocolate chips




DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8 inch square baking pan.

2. Microwave unsweetened chocolate and butter to melt. Let cool.

3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla. Fold in the melted chocolate. Sift together the flour, and salt and add to mixture, stirring lightly. Add chocolate chips to mixture, along with pecans. Mix until just blended. Pour batter into pan and smooth top.

4. Bake about 25 minutes. Let cool before cutting into bars.
